Annapolis, MD

102 rain barrels~16 classrooms~1,000 participants


Annapolis classrooms were provided materials to paint rain barrels corresponding with each of the World Water Day themes. Barrels by the Bay also hosted two community workshops in Annapolis.

Baltimore, MD

88 rain barrels~23 classrooms~975 participants

The Baltimore Project engaged hundreds of students in Baltimore City schools, and youth attending the Living Classroom and the Maryland Zoo summer programs.

Wicomico County, MD

48 rain barrels~30 classrooms~750 participants

The Wicomico Project was nationally recognized by Subaru for superior work to help the environment. The Subaru Love Promise is a pledge to do right by the communities in which we live and work.

Charles County, Maryland; Alexandria, Virginia; Washington,

150 rain barrels~27 classrooms~2,000 participants

Rain barrels were painted at community workshops and in classrooms giving individuals of all ages the opportunity to learn more about how to reduce stormwater runoff into the Potomac River.
